Kilimanjaro Trek - Rongai Route
This is our favorite route for those aspiring to
conquer the summit. Rongai begins on the northern side of the mountain and is the least traveled route.
It’s quite likely that you will be the only trekkers around. Classified as a moderate climb, a good level
of fitness is all that is required. Accommodation
is in high-altitude tents.
DAY 1 Departing from USA and connecting Via London.
DAY 2 Arrive Kilimanjaro International Airport in the evening. You will be met with the Shades of Africa Tour Guide OR Airport representative and be transferred to the Mountian Inn for dinner and overnight.

DAY 4 Today is a steady walk punctuated by spectacular views of the Eastern ice sheets and in the distance, Kibo Peak. About seven hours of walking until spotting your overnight cave.

DAY 5 Only a short four-hour (but steep) climb today up grassy slopes which offer superb views of the wilderness area. The vegetation zone ends shortly before you reach your next camp. Spend the afternoon acclimatizing and exploring the area.
