9 Days Kenya Safari
Day 01: Nairobi:
Arrive Jomo Kenyatta Airport and transfer to the hotel.
Overnight: Fairview Hotel (BB)
Day 02: Nairobi – Magadi
Breakfast at the hotel and then transfer to the Wilson Airstrip for your charter flight to Magadi. On arrival, you will be picked up by the lodge vehicles and transfer to the lodge. Settle in, relax and enjoy the facilities of the lodge itself and then afterwards enjoy lunch at the lodge.
The variety of landscape available at Shompole allows for a great range of activities from early morning and evening walks, river trips, picnics, night drives, guided game drives, mountain biking, canoeing at Ewaso Nyiro river (depending with the water levels), bush meals and sun-downers.
Shompole is located in Southern Kenya close to the Tanzanian border near soda Lakes Natron and Magadi, in the Great Rift Valley, 120 kms south of Nairobi. The 35,000 acre conservancy, surrounded by 140,000 acres of Shompole Group Ranch provides a dispersal area for wildlife. Situated on the side of the Nguruman escarpment, the lodge is positioned ideally to make the most of both an incredible view and the cool breeze. Shompole Lodge is the figurehead of a partnership between a private safari company and the Maasai of Shompole Group Ranch aimed at encouraging the conservation of wildlife and habitat of the area. The area is home to many species of animals and bird life and includes one of the most ecologically diverse areas in Africa.

Day 03: Magadi
Breakfast at the lodge. Enjoy activities at the lodge with lunch. After lunch, proceed for the village visits in the neighboring Maasai manyattas, visit local schools and learn about the culture of the people. This day, you will also enjoy night game drives.Shompole’s 6 rooms, 4 doubles and 2 twins all are en-suite, are constructed with naturally occurring white quartz stone and pale thatch. With privacy, comfort and relaxation in mind, each room consists of a cool-pool and informal sitting area, a bathroom with a view and a specially designed tent bedroom that includes vast windows and a high-canopied roof. The main lounge and dining area are of a high thatch roof overlooking Mount Shompole and the Great Rift Valley. Five minutes walk away further up the hill, Little Shompole has 2 executive suites, both en-suite.

Day 04: Magadi – Lewa
Breakfast at the camp. Transfer to the airstrip and depart on your private charter back to Nairobi. Upon arrival at the Wilson airport, connect onto the flight to Lewa Downs departing at (1020hrs-1125hrs). Pick from the airstrip by the camp vehicles and transfer to Lewa Downs Safari Camp. After settling in, enjoy a hot lunch at the camp.
After lunch, participate in the activities at the conservancy which include day game drives, bush Walks, educational tours on the history and day to day operation of the Conservancy and a visits to a pre-historic archaeological site. Lewa Safari Camp is set on the 65,000 acre privately owned Lewa Wildlife Conservancy. Situated against the dramatic backdrop of the snow-covered massif of Mt Kenya and with the magnificent Northern Frontier District stretching out to the North, Lewa is an outstanding tourist destination, offering spectacular scenery, superb game viewing and exciting activities for the discerning traveller.
The Conservancy, formerly a working cattle ranch and otherwise known as Lewa Downs, has been in the Craig family since 1924. Three generations of the family continue to be involved in daily operations on Lewa. With wildlife densities as high as anywhere in Africa, it is possible to see all of Africa’s Big Five on Lewa, and the Conservancy provides a refuge for several endangered species.
Accommodation is in 12 tents with ensuite bathrooms

Day 05: Lewa Downs Conservancy
Breakfast at the camp. Full day spent on the activities at the conservancy with game drive and visit to the local villages. On this day, you can also enjoy the night game drive.
Lewa provides a heavily subsidised clinic and a medical program for the neighbouring communities and for any victim of wildlife encounters. Most importantly Lewa assists the communities with their own conservation and tourism ventures. Two of the better known are Il N’gwesi Lodge and Tassia Lodge. These are both community owned and managed tourist destinations. Lewa provided logistical, technical and financial support until they were established and running off their own steam.

Day 06: Lewa Downs – Mara
Breakfast at the camp and transfer to the air strip by the lodge vehicle. Fly Lewa – Wilson (1030hrs – 1215hrs). Met at the airport by our representatives and proceed for the Carnivore lunch. After lunch, you will be transferred back to the Wilson Airport and fly to the Mara (1530hrs – 1615hrs). Pick up from the airstrip by the Kicheche camp vehicles and proceed to the camp.

Day 07: Lewa Downs Conservancy
Breakfast at the camp. Enjoy morning game drive in the park. Masai Mara is a magnificent landscape of open plains bisected by the Mara River and its tributaries, and punctuated by marshes and forests. Certainly the most frequented game reserve in Kenya, this 650 sq kilometer reserve supports the highest density of game to be seen anywhere. During the seasonal migrations, Masai Mara is home to up to a million wildebeest and an equally impressive number of zebras that move into the area from neighboring Serengeti National Park, in Tanzania. The reserve is home to all the “big five” and it is also possible to observe; baboon, eland, ostrich, bat-eared fox, jackal and cheetah. The rivers abound with hippos and crocodiles
In the Camp, you will enjoy unlimited game drives with some of the activities to participate including visitation to local school, community projects and cultural learning.
The Kicheche Community Project was established in 2004, the Kicheche Community Project has fast become a reliable source of funding for projects in and around the Aitong area. The camp has encouraged the preservation of the environment whilst improving the welfare of the community through improved health and education facilities.
At present, the camp is assisting the following facilities which you can also be a part of. These include: Olkimitare Nursery School, Aitong Academy Primary School, The CMF Aitong Health Clinic and Koiyaki Guiding School.
Overnight: Kicheche Safari Camp
Day 08: Mara – Nairobi
Breakfast at the camp. Enjoy a morning game drive. Return to the camp for lunch. After lunch, bid farewell to Maasai Mara and fly back to Nairobi (1400hrs – 1515hrs). You will be met at the airstrip by our representatives and transfer to your city hotel.
After settling in, visit a local childrens’ home of the orphaned. Enjoy in the home by helping the teachers in serving food, playing and songs. Return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 09: Nairobi – Europe – USA
Breakfast and depending on clients’ flight departure time, transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
