Upon touchdown at Kigali Int’l Airport, you will procced to clear with your immigration requirements and sort the luggage. Thereafter, you will be met by your waiting Primate Expeditions representative and transferred to Kigali Serena Hotel on bed and breakfast. Later, you will be taken through the safari itinerary by our customer service representative.

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Reserve approx. 5 hour’s drive
Today, the day starts early, we check out at 0830 hours and proceed on a tour of the city plus a visit to the Genocide Memorial Center….
Kigali city is inhabited by approx… one million people and is divided into three districts—Gasabo, Kicukiro and Nyarugenge. The Kigali City Tour begins as a historic journey through the city with a guided tour from the first modern building from which the capital city was first founded, to the rapidly growing neighborhoods that are changing the face of the city. Kigali is one of the friendliest, cleanest and safest of Africa’s cities attracting numerous visitors and investors to the capital.
You will have an early lunch at a local restaurant, thereafter; depart for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, enjoying the breathtaking scenery on the way, clear immigration and customs procedures at the border. Thereafter, proceed to Nkuringo sector of the Bwindi Forest, arrive at Chameleon Hill Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Reserve
Today you set off on your Uganda gorilla tracking adventure in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Forest Reserve – home to half of the world’s total mountain gorilla population. While trekking through the dense forest you’ll have the opportunity to view the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Looking deep into the expressive brown eyes of the Gentle Giants of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park surely is the most exciting and poignant wildlife encounter that Africa has to offer. After this captivating and unforgettable experience, you will head back to your Uganda safari lodge.

|After breakfast, mid-morning at your leisure, check out with packed lunches and drive back to Kigali. And transfer to Kigali Int’l Airport for your onward flight.

- Ugandan and Rwanda visas costs US$ 50 each, however, you can get East African Tourist Visa upon arrival at Entebbe @ US$ 100 which allows you to visit both countries.

Terms & Conditions
Important notes;
Visas;
Ugandan visas are required by citizens of the European Union, the USA and Japan; other nationals basically with the principle of reciprocity. Entry visas can be applied online http://www.visas.immigration.go.ug/ or gotten on arrival, applicants must have a valid travel document not less than 6 months from the date of departure. A single entry visa costs US$ 50, and is valid for three months.
NB- The EAC Tourist visa allows you to visit Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda within 90 days and costs US$ 100
Booking Terms & Conditions
1) All quotations are net /non-commissionable and inclusive of statutory taxes/levies.
2) Once a booking is confirmed, an invoice will be sent, after which payment should be made immediately to secure bookings.
3) We shall NOT be liable for any excursions or extra services NOT booked through our offices while on tour.
4) For payments made in cash, US Dollar notes older than 2006 are not accepted, US$ 2 bills not accepted as well.
5) Invoices are subject to a fee of US$ 35.00 towards International Bank Telegraphic transfer charges.
Gorilla Permits
Gorilla permits are confirmed via payment of US$ 600 per permit (US$ 700 from 01st Jul 2020) to Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA), who confirm the permits on first come first serve basis. Primate Expeditions Ltd shall NOT be held responsible if at the time of receipt of payments the permits will not be available.
NB:
a) Gorilla Permits based on current Government Park Tariffs. Park fees are subject to change without prior notice.
b) Gorilla permits are non-refundable & non-transferable
Cancellation Policy: The cancellation policy for safari sector excludes permits policy:
- a)To cancel any reservation, Primate Expeditions Ltd must be notified in writing as soon as possible.
- b) Notice of cancellation is only effective when it is received in writing.
- c) In such case the following cancellation charges will be payable on accommodation and related services:
- If cancelled 60 days and over – No charges.
- If cancelled 59 – 36 days and under, 45% cancellation charges will apply
iii. If cancelled 35 – 16 days and under, 75% cancellation charges will apply
- If cancelled 15 days and under, 100% cancellation charges will apply
- d) Unused portion of any Safari or Tour is not refundable.
- e) The small and up market properties such as Apoka Lodge, Clouds Gorilla Mountain Lodge, Semliki lodge and Pineapple Bay and any other as advised at the time of quotation/booking may require a non-refundable deposit to guarantee bookings. This will be communicated at the time of booking.
