Day 1: Arrival at JKIA – Drive to Samburu National Reserve

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), you will be met by our professional safari driver-guide for a warm welcome and briefing. You will then depart by road for Samburu National Reserve, traveling north through changing landscapes from fertile highlands to semi-arid savannah. Arrive at Samburu Simba Lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive in Samburu, a unique ecosystem renowned for its rare “Samburu Special Five,” including the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, and beisa oryx. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Samburu National Reserve

After an early breakfast, head out for a morning game drive when wildlife activity is at its peak. The Ewaso Nyiro River attracts a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, and abundant birdlife. Return to the lodge for lunch and some leisure time before embarking on an afternoon game drive to explore different areas of the reserve. As the day ends, return to
Samburu Simba Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Samburu – Lake Nakuru National Park (1 Night)

Following breakfast, depart Samburu and drive south toward the Great Rift Valley, enjoying scenic views and a change in vegetation along the way. Arrive at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge in
time for lunch. In the afternoon, proceed for a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its rhino sanctuary, Rothschild giraffes, and impressive birdlife, including flamingos depending on the season. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara National Reserve (2 Nights)

After breakfast, continue your journey to the iconic Maasai Mara National Reserve. The drive takes you through rolling hills and traditional Maasai villages before entering the vast open plains of the Mara. Arrive at Mara Sopa Lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive in the reserve, home to one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa,
including lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffalo, and large herds of plains game. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Maasai Mara National Reserve
Enjoy a full day in the Maasai Mara. After an early breakfast, depart for a morning game drive exploring the reserve’s diverse habitats, from open savannahs to riverine forests. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation before heading out again in the afternoon for another game
drive, offering further opportunities for exceptional wildlife sightings. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge.

Day 5: Maasai Mara – Nairobi

After breakfast, depart the Maasai Mara and drive back to Nairobi, passing through scenic countryside along the way. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be transferred to your preferred drop-off point or to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, marking the end of your unforgettable Kenyan safari experience.
