Day 1   Entebbe
Upon arrival at Entebbe Int’l Airport, you will proceed to clear with immigration and customs procedures. Thereafter, you will be met by Primate Expeditions representative just outside the baggage area and transferred to The Boma Guest House (normal check in time is at 1400 hours), remainder of the day at your leisure.

 Day 2   Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Reserve
Early breakfast transferred back to Entebbe Airport for your morning Aerolink schedule flight departing at 0745 hours or 1245 hours to Kihihi – upon arrival at 0930 hours or 1355 hours you will be met by a Mahogany Springs representative and transferred to the lodge, check in, lunch. Afternoon at your leisure, you may opt for a community visit (optional, extra cost).

 Day 3   Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Reserve
Today you set off on your Uganda gorilla tracking adventure in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Forest Reserve – home to half of the world’s total mountain gorilla population. While trekking through the dense forest you’ll have the opportunity to view the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Looking deep into the expressive brown eyes of the Gentle Giants of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park surely is the most exciting and poignant wildlife encounter that Africa has to offer. After this captivating and unforgettable experience, you will head back to your Uganda safari lodge.

Day 4   Queen Elizabeth approx. 3 hours’ drive
Today, after breakfast, you check out and drive to the Southern sector of the vast Queen Elizabeth National Park. Check in at Ishasha Wilderness Camp for lunch, late afternoon game drives returning to the camp before dusk for dinner and overnight.

 Day 5   Entebbe
Early morning transfer back to Kihihi airstrip to catch your schedule Aerolink flight at 0930 hours to Entebbe. Upon arrival approx… 1125 hours, you will be met and assisted to connect your onward flight.

 

Ishasha WC; Requires deposit for 20% of the booking value is required within 14 days of confirmation of the reservation or it is automatically cancelled thereafter

 

The Boma; Requires a 10% deposit upon confirmation

 Inclusions;

  • Arrival airport transfers as per itinerary
  • Accommodation on BB in Entebbe and FB on safari as indicated on the itinerary
  • On day 2 airstrip transfers, day 3 transfer to Gorilla trek at Buhoma to be done by the lodge representative
  • On day 4 & 5 use of our exclusive custom-made 6-seater safari land cruiser driven by an English-speaking driver/guide
  • At Mahogany Springs lodge; a glass of cask wine or a local beer or a soft drink at dinner time
  • At Ishasha Wilderness Camp; Full Board accommodation, 3 multiple course meals per day, all hot beverages and bar snacks, house drinks, and other camp services provided at IWC
  • Unlimited bottled mineral water in the safari vehicles
  • Park fees and applicable game drives
  • Schedule flight Entebbe/Kihihi/Entebbe – baggage allowance is 33 lbs in soft sided duffel bags
  • Emergency medical evacuation – all bills settled by the client directly

Exclusions;

  • International flights into and out of Uganda.
  • Any optional activity.
  • Drinks (sodas, beer, wine, spirits…)
  • Ugandan visas: single entry visa costs US$ 50.00 and it is required for all countries that require visas for Ugandans (principle of reciprocity). It can be obtained on arrival at Entebbe airport.
  • Medical and travel insurance.
  • Tips, telephone and personal expenses
  • Any other concept not indicated as included.

 Important notes;
Visas;
Ugandan visas are required by citizens of the European Union, the USA and Japan; other nationals basically with the principle of reciprocity. Entry visas can be applied online http://www.visas.immigration.go.ug/ or gotten on arrival, applicants must have a valid travel document not less than 6 months from the date of departure. A single entry visa costs US$ 50, and is valid for three months.

NB- The EAC Tourist visa allows you to visit Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda within 90 days and costs US$ 100

 Booking Terms & Conditions

1) All quotations are net /non-commissionable and inclusive of statutory taxes/levies.
2) Once a booking is confirmed, an invoice will be sent, after which payment should be made immediately to secure bookings.
3) We shall NOT be liable for any excursions or extra services NOT booked through our offices while on tour.
4) For payments made in cash, US Dollar notes older than 2006 are not accepted, US$ 2 bills not accepted as well.
5) Invoices are subject to a fee of US$ 35.00 towards International Bank Telegraphic transfer charges.

Gorilla Permits
Gorilla permits are confirmed via payment of US$ 600 per permit (US$ 700 from 01st Jul 2020) to Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA), who confirm the permits on first come first serve basis. Primate Expeditions Ltd shall NOT be held responsible if at the time of receipt of payments the permits will not be available.

NB:

  1. a) Gorilla Permits based on current Government Park Tariffs. Park fees are subject to change without prior notice.
  2. b) Gorilla permits are non-refundable & non-transferable

Cancellation Policy: The cancellation policy for safari sector excludes permits policy:

  1. a)To cancel any reservation, Primate Expeditions Ltd must be notified in writing as soon as possible.
  2. b) Notice of cancellation is only effective when it is received in writing.
  3. c) In such case the following cancellation charges will be payable on accommodation and related services:
  4. If cancelled 60 days and over – No charges.  
  5. If cancelled 59 – 36 days and under, 45% cancellation charges will apply   

iii. If cancelled 35 – 16 days and under, 75% cancellation charges will apply   

  1. If cancelled 15 days and under, 100% cancellation charges will apply
  2. d) Unused portion of any Safari or Tour is not refundable.
  3. e) The small and up market properties such as Apoka Lodge, Clouds Gorilla Mountain Lodge, Semliki lodge and Pineapple Bay and any other as advised at the time of quotation/booking may require a non-refundable deposit to guarantee bookings. This will be communicated at the time of booking.
